Whales suddenly move tens of thousands of Bitcoin (BTC), and the cryptocurrency king continues to consolidate above $30,000.
Blockchain research service Whale Alert initially discovered a series of Bitcoin transactions worth over $856 million worth of 28,377 BTC.
One of the largest transactions of the past day involved a crypto whale moving about $300 million worth of 9,819 BTC from one unknown wallet to another.
The whale in question paid less than $8 to move its massive Bitcoin treasury.
In another transaction, a well-funded entity Sent 5,503 BTC worth more than $165 million between wallets of unknown origin paid about $10 to process the transaction.
Crypto Whale Sighted In Another Transfer shift 5,000 BTC worth over $150 million from one unknown wallet to another unknown wallet. A well-funded investor paid him less than $7 to move a large Bitcoin stack.
Other large-scale BTC transactions in the last 24 hours involve moving bitcoins between wallets of unknown origin and centralized crypto exchanges.
One whale withdrew hundreds of Bitcoins from the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, while another transferred BTC to Coinbase.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is trading at $30,352, a slight drop for the day.
