Hana Bank conducted a quiz on foreign exchange to improve the professional knowledge of its employees.
According to the bank, the 2023 Foreign Exchange Golden Bell National Convention was held at the Hana Financial Group headquarters in Seoul on Friday.
As part of the tradition and celebration of communication and harmony among employees, the bank has been holding an annual quiz contest for 18 years with the aim of improving the foreign exchange knowledge and abilities of its employees.
Regional qualifiers for the contest were held in Gwangju, Busan, Daejeon, and Seoul starting in June, in addition to online qualifiers via Hana Bank’s mobile app HanaOne Q, and Friday’s final concluded a six-month journey. .
The four online qualifying rounds demonstrated the keen interest and passion of Hana Bank’s employees to become Top Foreign Exchange Specialists, with up to 6,500 employees participating in each session.
The final round involved solving problems in a wide range of foreign exchange fields, including foreign exchange law, goods and services, import and export, and foreign exchange trading. The 100 outstanding foreign exchange employees who made it through the preliminary rounds took on the quiz on behalf of their regions and branches.
After fierce competition, Seo Jeong-eun from the Gumi-dong branch in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province won the gold medal and a prize of 1 million won (approximately 76,000 yen).
