The Buffalo Bills could be considering several trades ahead of the NFL trade deadline on October 31st at 4pm ET.
However, the team is reportedly focusing on specific positions. In an article about The AthleticDeanna Russini reported that the Bills are scouring the market for cornerbacks.
here What Russini wrote in his article.
The Baltimore Ravens are looking to add a running back, the Cleveland Browns are looking to add a receiver, and the Buffalo Bills are scouring the cornerback market. The Washington Commanders are listening to offers for Chase Young and Montez Sweat. They want a second-round pick, but have only received offers in the third round.
It’s no surprise that Buffalo is interested in the cornerback position. The team lost Tre’Davious White to an Achilles tendon injury early in the season that year. The team’s current starting cornerbacks, Christian Benford and Dane Jackson, have struggled at times this season, missing time due to injuries. In terms of depth behind the starters, the team has Kaia Elam, Cilan Neal, and Cam Lewis. Elam, the team’s 2022 first-round pick, was a healthy scratch on Thursday Night Football but could be moved at the deadline because he doesn’t fit Buffalo’s defensive scheme. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports. Several teams are said to be interested in acquiring Elam. Moving Elam may depend on the Bills being able to acquire a cornerback by the deadline.
After Sunday’s game, many teams will have a clearer idea of whether they are buyers or sellers before the deadline. Depending on who’s available, Buffalo could make a move for a new cornerback at the deadline.
