Portland, Oregon (Light seal) — Portlanders and their furry friends are making plans every Saturday through September as the Rocky Butte Farmers Market reopens.
The dog-friendly suburban market is back in 2023 on the first weekend in June. Locals can expect locally-sourced foods and handicrafts at each market until it closes this fall.
Market updates its situation vendor list every week. RBFM organizers say familiar vendors will return, but there will also be new faces. Local businesses at the market sell everything from beeswax candles to spicy peanut butter.
But RBFM co-founder and chairman Benjamin Cutler says RBFM is more than just a place of commerce.Every week, the market will be featured local musiciansan educational booth for children, and an information booth that provides fresh water and treats for dogs.
“We pride ourselves on not only supporting local farmers and talented makers, but providing a space to build community and grow connections,” said Cutler. “Come meet your neighbors, make new friends, mingle with vendors and entertainers, and join us in enhancing what we already love in this unique neighborhood.”
Look for the market in the Manna House Church parking lot at 9200 NE Fremont St. every Saturday through September 30th. Hours are 9am to 1pm.
