Bitcoin has started its rally in the last 24 hours, just inches away from the coveted $30,000 line. Assets haven’t beaten it yet, though.
Altcoins are also rising, with ETH approaching $2,000 and SOL and UNI gaining 4% daily. However, that day belongs to PEPE and Floki Inu.
Bitcoin stopped before $30K
The working week, which also marked the beginning of the new month, started off badly for Bitcoin, dropping about two grounds in time to a multi-day low of $27,650 (on Bitstamp). However, the bull successfully defended his position on the asset and he climbed above $28,000 shortly after.
The FOMC meeting also failed to shake the BTC cage. The latest rate hike of 25bps could actually be the last rate hike and had no direct impact on Bitcoin. However, after a few hours, the property began to appreciate in value, recovering $29,000.
Over the past 24 hours, the price has risen further from Bitcoin to just below $30,000. Nonetheless, BTC is currently unable to overcome that level and is about $500 below it.
Its market capitalization approaches $570 billion, with a 47% advantage over altcoins.
Pepe and Floki running away
The last few days have been all about PEPE, a relatively new cryptocurrency. Launched in mid-April, it is essentially a memecoin with no real use. true in case.
It has frequently recorded double- and even triple-digit surges daily, resulting in it entering the top 100 and even top 50 digital assets by market capitalization as of yesterday. announced that it would list PEPE and Floki Inu in the Innovation Zone.
As expected, FLOKI also surged. A jump of over 40% in the last 24 hours. This memecoin is one of the top 100 coins by market cap as it trades near $0.00005.
The top 10 altcoins saw significant modest gains from the likes of Ethereum (3.6%) and Solana (4%). Uniswap tapped $5.5 after a similar daily jump.
The total crypto market capitalization regained the $1.2 trillion line after gaining around $20 billion daily.
