No bride’s wedding attire
Gurudayal, a father of five, had also fixed his daughter’s wedding on October 28th. He was planning to marry off his 19-year-old daughter to a man from Ferozepur district. His daughter said she always imagined how big her wedding would be. “Right now, I don’t have a suit or a lehenga yet. But all that matters is that my father is happy and I don’t demand anything,” Gurudayal’s daughter said.
Singara Singh, a farmer from Mundi Cholian village, had a similar story. His fields, which are more than 2.5 acres, still have water. “We are inviting people to our daughter’s wedding. Our house is still surrounded by water. We are worried about what will happen if we modify the wedding and the guests and groom will be flooded,” said Singara. said.
