Liverpool are reportedly unable to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen amid growing interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.
Osimhen has established himself as one of the best strikers in the world and has attracted attention from clubs across Europe in recent years.
Last season, the Nigeria international scored 26 league goals as Napoli won the Serie A title. Nevertheless, the Italian giants mocked their star striker in a bizarre video posted via their official TikTok account.
This has sparked transfer talk ahead of the upcoming January transfer window. Amid reports linking him with Arsenal and Chelsea.
Osimhen, who is also attracting attention from Liverpool, is under contract until 2025 and is valued at 120 million euros by Napoli.
Radio Kiss Kiss director Balder de Maggio recently hinted that Liverpool have a “strong interest” in Osimhen.
“Liverpool have a very strong interest in Victor Osimhen,” De Maggio said. “Then we will have to see whether the Reds put pressure on Osimhen’s agent not to renew his contract.”

Italian journalist Salvatore Biazzo responded to De Maggio’s comments via the same radio silence. He believes Liverpool will not be able to sign Osimhen because they are “so in debt”.
“Liverpool to Osimchen? They’re in debt,” Biazzo said on Radio Kiss Kiss (via Sport Witness).
“We need to understand what kind of psychological state Osimhen is in after these family events. Now we also have to deal with the injury, because there are some problems around him. , De Laurentiis will want to keep a close eye on his little gem.
“In the Premier League, there is a fierce competition between different teams such as Arsenal, City and Tottenham. I see Liverpool’s financial exposure as one of the highest in debt clubs.
Earlier this year, former Liverpool and Napoli manager Rafael Benitez revealed that Osimhen “reminds” him of former Reds striker Fernando Torres.
“When I think of Osimhen, I think of Torres,” Benitez said.
“A very fast and intelligent player. But when we talk about Napoli, it’s not fair to talk about one football player. The Azzurri’s teamwork is great.”
