Former WWE Champion AJ Styles has hinted at his retirement plans after spending more than 25 years in the industry.
AJ Styles debuted in 1998 and spent most of his early career competing for various independent wrestling promotions. In 2001 he made WCW his first big break with Phenomenal his one. He then transferred to his TNA, where he was from 2002 until 2013.
Styles briefly left TNA with ROH before joining New Japan Pro Wrestling. The former World Champion joined WWE in January 2016 and debuted as a No. 18 Superstar at the Royal Rumble. Despite losing out to Kevin Owens, he burst into the arena with a bang and quickly became a fan favorite.

When asked what he hopes to achieve in wrestling, the 45-year-old said he wanted to finish his career the way he wanted to.
“I think that’s all I want to do, to go out the way I want to go out, instead of going out the way I have to. I just want to finish and run the way I want. I know it’s going to be difficult because injuries are the cause of so many retirements…so I hope I can finish. I want to finish and I want to finish my way and not because of my injury,” Styles said. [H/T – POST Wrestling]
AJ Styles sent warning to Seth Rollins ahead of WWE Night of Champions
In a recent video by WWE, The Phenomenal One said they were aware of the size of their match with Rollins at Night of Champions.
Visionary and Seth Rollins climbed to the top of the mountain to claim the new World Heavyweight Championship introduced by Triple H at WWE RAW a few weeks ago.
After arriving in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the 45-year-old was asked to weigh in for the title due to the pressure of facing Seth Rollins.
“The size is obviously different now. This is the World Heavyweight Championship and the first ever World Heavyweight Champion with a new championship introduced. I’m really looking forward to it. I like having the opportunity to be in a position like this. It’s pretty stressful, but I think I can work well under stress. So just bring it and let’s do it,” said AJ Styles.

The two former world champions are no strangers to each other and will do whatever it takes to win the world heavyweight championship. It remains to be seen what will happen between Rollins and Styles at WWE Night of Champions.
